Review of PTCL Smart TV Software App & How to use it on EVO Network

PTCL has recently launched the soft version of its Smart TV service. This software is designed and developed for PTCL's EVO users. Android App is also available in App Store. This soft version is software based windows Application.

This software works with PTCL EVO. This is a subscription based service, service monthly subscription charges are Rs 50.

PTCL Smart TV software for windows and Android aap is powered by PBX TELECOM of Romania, ZONG pocket tv is also powered by PBX Telecom.

Smart TV application runs on Windows computer and it is the feature-rich PBX TV client. Using this application user will enjoy cool features such as re-runs, content recording, comments, selective bit-rates for the streams and much more.

I personally tested this software on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Some goods and bads of this software are given below:

Goods:

• Live Stream Recording
• Schedule Recording
• User Friendly Software
• Smooth Streaming at higher data rate
• Seven days Re-Run feature
• Buffering Rate adjustment option

Bads:

• Consumes EVO Package Data Quota
• Requires higher data rate for smooth streaming
• Stream pause at lower data rate
• Sometime some channels are un-available
