DIY: Students Project Battery Level Indicator with Circuit Diagram

Battery level indicator is a type of indicator which detects the voltages of a battery and shows the condition of battery on seven-segment display or on LED level bar.

I have got a chance to make battery level indicator as my university semester project and I decided to share the procedure on this blog.

Introduction: (How to make battery level indicator ?)

The aim of this project is to make a simple user friendly battery level indicator which provides a linear analog display output and will be configured to display the output on seven segment display.

Electronics Components:
  • Resistors (Fixed Value)
  • Variable Resistor
  • Zener Diode
  • LED
  • IC
IC:

LM339N Quad Voltage Comparator

Circuit Diagram:

Implementation on Bread Board:

Use IC # LM339, Zener Diode of 5 Volts.

Connect the circuit with 12-Volts DC battery. Adjust the 2-K variable to calibrate the circuit with battery.
